Martin City Brewery is Kansas City’s largest LOCAL brewing company.

Welcome to Martin City Brewing Company. Nestled in right by the railroad tracks in south KCMO, Martin City was known as a place where quality beverages were made right from the beginning when the town’s namesake, Edward L. Martin, opened the Kansas City Distilling Company in the 1800s. Today we carry on that proud tradition by hand crafting a wide variety of beers in our state of the art brewing facility.

We have an affinity for Belgian beer here, what that means is that we are creative! Influenced over the years by the many invaders and occupiers who came through their land, the Belgians borrowed what they liked, tossed what they didn’t, and developed a healthy mistrust of authority.

At MCBC we try to live by that example, finding inspiration from this style and that, but refusing to be tied down by tradition. An extensive understanding of brewing science and technology, a passion for truly great beer, and a collaborative, friendly work environment are the key aspects of our operation.
