Description
This beer feels like the first time you pull on a long sleeve shirt on a crisp Fall morning. The malted, sweet, toasty aroma reminds you of the cool air, with the caramel and nutty chocolate flavor bringing to mind the changing color of the trees. It’s Fall in a beer, and we all know Fall is the best season.

Good brown ale. Finish wasn’t as smooth as had hoped but doesn’t prevent me from enjoying.

Had this at the Mission Farms location and will be buying more to take on my camping trip! Perfect fall beer – smooth, malty, and balanced. Great flavor.

Solid brown. Smooth roasted malt finish. Gave 4.5 on Untapped.

This is one of my top 5 go to beers ever! I highly recommend it! I wish it was available year round.

In my opinion this is a fair example for the style. Hop bitterness is appropriate. Malt and hop aroma is a bit thin but still evident. The malt body and mouth feel should be a bit fuller though. American brown ale should leave the the drinker with a nice rounded dark malt, hop aroma, and bitterness. This in my opinion falls a bit short on some of these characteristics. American brown ale is my favorite style to drink and though this isn’t the best one I’ve tasted it isn’t the worst either.

The finest beer you have awesome

Really enjoy brown ales, and this one is fantastic. You really get a sense of “fall” when you crack one of these open. Great seasonal beer MCBC!
Joe Brock –
Very good american brown
Christopher Stegall –
It is delicious, and very smooth!
Andrew –
Too hoppy for me. I prefer a little more malt balance.
Don Pfannenstiel –
My favorite. Wish you had it all the time. I love many brown ales and this is one of the best.

Glad to see Fallback Ale back. It’s my favourite Martin City beer. Although KC Bier Dunkel is generally in the same category German brown vs. American Brown Fallback id’s the clear winner!

I tried this for the first time recently. In years past I drank 4 Hands Cast Iron Oatmeal Brown, so I will compare the two here. BTW this comparison is much more appropriate than comparing it to KC Bier Dunkel. Fallback has more roast flavor, but the roast is just too bitter for me. It has more body than Cast Iron, which is a bit thin, but the flavor is offensive to my tastebuds. Sorry, but I won’t be buying more while Cast Iron is available at the same price.
