Description
This beer feels like the first game of the season at Arrowhead. It’s fall, and this brew’s deep amber color and a satisfying finish will leave your taste buds doing the tomahawk chop. Sip it slow and savor the flavor, this is the finest Oktoberfest you’ll find.
Jeff Marye –
Overall, I liked the Oktoberfest beer. It did have a slight aftertaste the first couple of drinks, but after a few more drinks you don’t notice it. If you want to take it to a 5 star rating, I would like the hints of caramel.
David Wearing –
This is my favorite beer made by Martin City. Wish it was available all year!
Daniel Siemens –
the malts didn’t show up as bright As what I would have expected. It’s like they didn’t ferment cold enough
Sam –
Not usually a lager fan but the waiter recommended I at least try it. It honestly was absolutely delicious. Very smooth and great for fall. Likely will order this over my usual (Easy Way) next time!
Roland Balthazor –
This is an excellent example on what the octoberfest beer is to taste like and is refreshing and excellent by itself or with food. A definite keeper and one to stock up on
Tom Devonshire –
I was impressed with this lager. Very smooth and great flavor.
Well done!
Mark H –
I always look forward to Octoberfest-style beers and this one did not disappoint
Jana Gates –
I usually don’t drink a lager, but I enjoyed this!
Christopher –
One of the better Oktoberfest lagers in the KC area. The 2016 batch was my favorite. This year I gave it a 4 on Untapped.
Charles –
Very smooth
Rob Hunter –
Good beer, not a flavorful in my opinion as other Marzens, but a good session beer IMHO. I gave it a 3.5 on Untapped.
Lou –
I wish it was available for a longer period of time! It seems all the local breweries that are making Octoberfest are usually out or just about out before October even gets here!(you guys had it longer than most). I enjoyed yours equally with Free State, Lawrence Beer Company. and Boulevard.
Make more…it would sell!????

Having been to Germany last fall and trying several local “Oktoberfest” beers since then, I will say this does seem to be one of the best options around. It didn’t exactly transport me back to Münchin, but it was a tasty lager. I will look forward to trying the 2020 batch.
Gene Pribula –
We’ll balanced between malt and hop bitterness. Head and malt aroma could be a bit more pronounced but still a very good example for the style.
Austin –
One of the best oktoberfests out there in my opinion. Great taste!
Sarah –
I like lighter beers, so I’m always glad when you have any kind of lager or pilsner. For me, this one is still a bit too “dark,” but that says more about me than about the beer!
Christopher Stegall –
A perfect fall beer!
Paul –
I love Marzen style beers. I’m a tough judge so giving it 4 stars means it’s pretty good and I’d go a ways to get some. Good job! Prost!!
Chad Rogers –
This is a good solid beer especially on draft. I look forward to this beer each year.
Andrew –
Favorite beer season. The beer did not disappoint. Great with the pretzels and mustard for Oktoberfest.
Mark Harrington –
Have not had it on tap yet so this is not as true as it could be. Marzens are my favorite beers (I love this time of year!) and this one is good. I wish it had a little more caramel and it seemed thin compared to the other Marzens I have had this year.
Mike Savidge –
I loved this beer!! I wish it was available longer!!
Joe Rodriguez –
My favorite time of year – when the Oktoberfest beers come out! Martin City’s Oktoberfest 2020 is one of the best I have tried this season! I would highly recommend you get one while they last.
Mike Derickson –
Hands down one of my favorite Oktoberfest!!
Ox Bend Brewing –
Best marzen this year.
Jolene –
Little too malty, would be better if a little lighter on the malt
Dave Clements –
OK, I lined it up with the big boys from Munich just last weekend, Hochen-Schorr, Hofbrauhaus, and Spaten.
Tried them all and MCMC stood tall with the century old brewers.
Greg –
This is an excellent version of the Octoberfest beer community. This is a smooth, good tasting Octoberfest that beats most others hands-down. A must try.
Roland Balthazor –
One of the fest beers
Roland Balthazor –
My favorite martin city beers
Danny –
I could drink oktoberfest beers all year and this is no exception. It isn’t fall yet but this smooth, malty beer takes you there.
Roger –
One of the best one of the best Oktoberfest I’ve had for years
Lori Falkenstien –
I love this beer! It is my favorite so far from Martin City Brewing Company. I would drink it year round if it was available.
